Zeeshan Siddique Receives Death Threat Claiming Responsibility for Father's Murder
A scary voice recording has appeared on the internet in India.
In the recording, a voice says it hurt a man's father and that the man is next.
The man is Zeeshan Siddique, a leader in a political party called the Nationalist Congress Party.
His father, Baba Siddique, was a famous government leader in Mumbai who was shot and killed outside his son's office in October 2024.
Police in Mumbai found the recording and started an investigation.
The voice in the recording claims to be a gangster named Zeeshan Akhtar, who police say is still missing.
Zeeshan Siddique's sister, Arshia, found the recording online and reported it to the police.
Police are checking whether the voice is really the gangster's and where the recording came from.

Mumbai Police registered a non-cognisable offence after a viral audio clip threatened NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique, son of late former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.
In the clip, a speaker claiming to be absconding gangster Zeeshan Akhtar says, 'I have killed your father, and now it's your turn,' and alleges Siddique's involvement in Sushant Singh Rajput's case.
The complaint was lodged by Siddique's sister Arshia Siddique; police said Zeeshan Siddique did not receive any direct threat and has not personally filed a complaint.
The purported threat surfaced on August 6, nearly two years after Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his son's office in Bandra East on October 12, 2024.
Police are verifying the audio's authenticity and tracing its IP address; jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is named as the alleged mastermind of the murder.
The Mumbai Crime Branch arrested 27 people in the murder case, and charges were framed on February 10, 2026 under MCOCA and other laws.
