Jio IPO: Potential to be India's Largest, Valued at $135 Billion

Reliance Jio, the telecom giant, plans to launch an IPO (stock market launch) in the first half of 2026, which could be India's biggest ever.

Brokerages estimate Jio's value at billions of dollars.

The IPO is expected to be worth Rs 30,000 crore, allowing investors to sell their shares.

Jio is owned by Reliance Industries, which holds the majority stake.

While the IPO could unlock value, some experts worry about a possible 'holding company discount,' where Reliance shares may not directly reflect Jio's full value.

However, with recent Sebi changes, concerns are limited, along with the expectations of further tariff increases in the future.
