Apple Plans 200MP iPhone Camera for 2028
Apple is working on a new iPhone camera that will have 200 megapixels.
This is a big upgrade from the current 48-megapixel cameras in iPhones.
The new cameras are expected to come out in 2028 in the iPhone 21 series.
Apple is working with its rival Samsung to make these new cameras.
Right now, all iPhones in the iPhone 17 series have 48MP cameras in all their lenses.
Apple is also thinking about changing how Face ID works, but that might not happen until 2027.
Apple is planning to introduce a 200MP camera sensor in iPhones by 2028.
The new camera sensor will first appear in the iPhone 21 series.
Current iPhone 17 series models use 48MP sensors for all lenses.
Samsung will supply the 200MP sensors, despite being Apple's rival.
Production of the 200MP sensors may take place in Austin, Texas.
