In just two days, they spent over 400 crore rupees!

This happened because the next day was a 'dry day' when liquor sales were not allowed, so people stocked up.

Also, many people went back to their hometowns for the holiday and bought liquor there.

This year, more people bought expensive brands of liquor than before.
