HAL Q1 Net Profit Rises 14.9% to ₹1,589.66 Crore

Hindustan Aeronautics, or HAL, is a big Indian company that makes fighter jets, helicopters, and other aircraft for the Indian government and military.

HAL announced how much money it made in the first three months of its new financial year, which ended on 30 June 2026.

In that quarter, HAL's profit was ₹1,589.66 crore — about 15% more than in the same period last year.

The money it earned from its business also went up by about 14%.

But compared with the previous three months, HAL's profit fell sharply, by about 62%.

HAL plans to give its shareholders a total dividend of ₹45 per share for the last financial year as a reward.

The company also had to set aside a small extra amount because the government raised the maximum retirement payment for its workers.

HAL's auditor noted that the company does not have enough independent directors on some of its committees, which is required by stock market rules.

HAL is one of India's most important defence companies, making products like the Tejas fighter jet and providing aircraft maintenance services.
