Smart TVs Versus Projectors: Choosing the Better Viewing Experience
A smart TV and a smart projector are useful for different reasons.
A projector can make a much bigger picture for less money.
It can also be moved from one room to another more easily.
However, projectors need enough space and work best in darker rooms.
A TV usually looks brighter and has stronger colours and contrast.
TVs are also easier to watch during the day.
Many TVs are better for gaming because they respond quickly and support special gaming features.
Some projectors are made for gaming, but not all of them are.
The best choice depends on whether you value a huge flexible screen or the clearest and brightest picture.
Projectors can deliver 100-inch-or-larger images for less than comparably large televisions.
Compact smart projectors are easier to move between rooms and may not require permanent installation.
Smart TVs generally provide better brightness, contrast, colour consistency and picture quality.
Televisions are usually better for daytime viewing because they are less affected by ambient light.
Gaming TVs offer features such as high refresh rates, low input latency, HDMI 2.1 and variable refresh rate.
