Nellore Proposes ₹750-Crore Five-Year Plan for Tribal Development
The tribal welfare department has proposed a large five-year plan for tribal communities in Nellore.
It would spend ₹750 crore on schools, healthcare, roads, homes and jobs.
The department wants every tribal child to enrol in Gurukulam or ashram schools.
It also plans to track students after Class X and guide them toward further education or training.
Unemployed Yanadi youth could receive modern skills training.
Farming, fishing and horticulture projects would help families earn money locally.
More than 15,000 people without Aadhaar have already received services, with more drives planned.
Officials also want to use industrial support and government funding to improve tribal settlements.
