Indian Army Issues Social Media Policy
The Indian Army has made new rules for using social media.
Soldiers can look at Instagram, YouTube, and other sites but can't post anything.
They can use apps like WhatsApp and Skype to talk, but only for general information.
LinkedIn is allowed just for job-related things.
The Army also teamed up with a university to work on software and AI projects.
This is to make the Army stronger with new technology.
Indian Army issued a social media policy allowing limited access to platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and X (Twitter).
Personnel can only view and monitor content on these platforms, with no active participation allowed.
Communication apps like Skype, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal can be used for unclassified information exchange.
LinkedIn use is restricted to uploading resumes and gathering job-related information.
