AYUSH Integration Advances in National Healthcare Framework
The Indian government is making big steps to include AYUSH, which is traditional Indian medicine, into the regular healthcare system.
This means more hospitals and clinics will offer AYUSH treatments alongside regular medicine.
The goal is to make healthcare more affordable and accessible for everyone.
They are also adding more doctors and support staff who specialize in AYUSH.
Additionally, they are setting up research centers to study and improve these traditional treatments.
The Centre is integrating AYUSH into the national healthcare framework to provide holistic healthcare.
13,249 primary health centres, community health centres, and district hospitals will offer AYUSH services by December 2025.
25,322 AYUSH doctors and 5,666 paramedics have been added to strengthen public healthcare services.
Research councils like CCRAS, CCRUM, CCRH, CCRS, and CCRYN have been established for clinical and drug research.
The integration aims to make healthcare more affordable and accessible nationwide.
