iOS 19 May Enable Simplified eSIM Transfer to Android Devices
Imagine you want to switch your phone from an iPhone to an Android.
Right now, transferring your SIM card, especially the digital one called an eSIM, can be tricky.
Apple is working on a new feature for the upcoming iOS 19 that could make this much easier.
This feature will allow you to transfer your eSIM from your iPhone to an Android phone wirelessly.
The process will involve a QR code that the Android phone will scan, along with some other info.
This update is still in development, with a preview expected at the next big Apple event, WWDC 2025, where they will reveal new features for iPhones.
iOS 19 is expected to include a new feature for easier eSIM transfers.
The feature was discovered in the code of an Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 app.
