A seven-year-old child died after attending a school in Maswan, Palghar.

Some other children also became unwell.

Officials visited the school to find out what happened.

Thirty students were kept under observation, and five were taken to another hospital for treatment.

Officials said the children were stable and out of danger.

Food safety officers checked the kitchen and collected cooking materials for testing.

The school superintendent was suspended because officials alleged serious negligence.

A special investigation team will now examine the death and suggest ways to prevent similar incidents.
