Telangana Observes Road Safety Month
Telangana is having a special month called National Road Safety Month from January 1 to 31.
This is part of a bigger plan by the Indian government to make roads safer.
They will teach people about the dangers of speeding, drinking and driving, and not wearing helmets or seat belts.
The government will use posters, TV, radio, and the internet to spread the message.
They will also fix dangerous spots on the roads and make sure there are enough lights at night.
In Nellore, the police are telling people to wear helmets when riding two-wheelers to save lives.
They warned that they will punish people who break the rules.
Telangana will observe National Road Safety Month from January 1 to 31 as part of a nationwide campaign.
Awareness programs will be conducted in both rural and urban areas, focusing on overspeeding, drunk driving, and lack of helmets/seat belts.
Inter-departmental coordination and corrective measures at accident-prone locations are key focuses.
Campaigns will target students, drivers, and the general public through various media channels, including hoardings, cinema slides, social media, FM radio, local TV, and digital displays.
In Nellore, the police conducted an awareness camp emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets and warned of stringent action against violators of the Motor Vehicle Act.
