Stunning videos capture total solar eclipse from Spain, Iceland

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves in front of the Sun and blocks its light.

A total solar eclipse is a special kind where the Moon completely covers the Sun for a little while.

Recently, people in Spain, Greenland and Iceland saw a total solar eclipse.

People took videos and photos of it and shared them on social media so everyone could see.

In the United Kingdom, the eclipse was not total, but the Moon covered a lot of the Sun.

People in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Cornwall saw the most coverage.

In parts of Devon, Cornwall and Wales, up to 96 per cent of the Sun was covered.

During the eclipse, it got dark, and even the planet Jupiter could be seen in the sky.

This was the first total solar eclipse seen in the UK since 1999.

The next one will not happen until 2090, so it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
