Russian Strike Kills Seven in Zaporizhzhia as Peace Talks Continue

A Russian attack hit several places in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Saturday.

At least seven people died, and 10 were injured.

Rescue workers searched through damaged buildings for people who might be trapped.

The attack came as US, Ukrainian and European representatives had been talking about ways to end the war.

US President Donald Trump also lifted sanctions on Russian fuel, saying Russia would supply diesel to help bring down fuel prices.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said easing sanctions without a clear agreement to reduce fighting could help Russia continue the war.

He said Ukraine was willing to take matching steps if Russia stopped attacking Ukrainian energy facilities.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said an immediate restart of peace talks was unlikely.
