India Pulls Out Of ASEAN Cup To Prioritise Brazil Friendly

India has a national football team that travels to play matches against other countries.

A new tournament called the FIFA ASEAN Cup was going to happen in Indonesia, and India was invited.

Around the same time, India got the chance to play a special friendly match against Brazil, one of the best football teams in the world.

Brazil has won the World Cup five times.

The end of the tournament and the Brazil match were on nearly the same day, so India could not do both.

India chose to play Brazil because playing such a strong team is a rare chance.

Some reports say FIFA did not allow India to send a second team to the tournament.

So India officially left the ASEAN Cup and told FIFA and the organisers.

Now India is trying to arrange two more friendly matches against strong teams so its players still get to play.

India may have to pay a fine for leaving, but the football federation hopes it will not have to.
