IMDb and IMDbPro Expand Credit Categories for Entertainment Professionals
Imagine your favorite movie or TV show.
Lots of people work hard to make it, not just the actors you see.
IMDb, a website that lists movie info, is adding new ways to give credit to all these important people.
They've added 12 new job titles, like choreographers who create dances and people who help with craft services (like snacks!).
They also added a category for people who dub voices into different languages.
This is like giving a gold star to more people who help make the magic happen.
It makes sure everyone's hard work is seen and appreciated, making the movie world feel fairer for everyone involved.
IMDb and IMDbPro have added 12 new dedicated professional credit categories.
The new categories aim to provide greater recognition for various entertainment industry roles previously under 'Additional Crew'.
IMDb now accepts credits for dubbing foreign-language versions of movies and TV shows in multiple languages.
These enhancements were developed in consultation with major industry organizations and guilds.
Existing credits are being migrated to new categories, with updates expected by November 9.
