FSSAI Suspends Food Business Licences for Violating Food Safety Rules

FSSAI Suspends Food Business Licences for Violating Food Safety Rules

There is a special government office in India called FSSAI that makes sure the food people eat is safe.

Sometimes, companies that make or sell food do not follow the safety rules.

FSSAI just took away the licences of three food companies because they broke those rules.

The companies are called Narayani Foods & Beverages, Zaiqaa Organixs, and AB Enterprise.

This happened while a news campaign called 'E-Comms Hiding Health Info' was telling people about the problem.

The campaign said some online food sellers were hiding important health information from customers.

It also said people have the right to know what is in their food.

A former director of FSSAI, Pradip Chakraborty, said the office still has a lot of work to do with online shopping websites.

There is a law that can fine companies up to ten lakh rupees for tricking people with misleading adverts.

The goal is to keep food safe and make sure companies are honest.
