Ranbir Kapoor Wore Rubber Slippers in Ramayana, Removed by VFX
Ranbir Kapoor is an actor who plays Lord Rama in a big new movie called Ramayana.
The movie is based on a very old Indian story about a prince named Rama.
In the story, Rama has to live in the forest for 14 years.
When he leaves, his brother keeps Rama's slippers on the throne until he comes back.
So in the movie, Rama's feet need to look barefoot.
But running and doing stunts without shoes on rough ground hurts.
So Ranbir wore rubber slippers while filming, and a computer effects company called DNEG removed them using digital magic.
Now, when people watch the movie, it looks like he is truly barefoot.
The movie will come out during the festival of Diwali.
Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama in the film Ramayana, said he wore rubber slippers for most of the shoot.
The slippers were digitally erased in post-production by VFX company DNEG.
In the epic, Lord Rama's brother keeps his slippers on the throne until he returns from exile, so Rama appears barefoot.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film was made on a budget of Rs 4000 crore.
