Delhi Government Plans AI Traffic Audit Across South Delhi Roads

Delhi Government Plans AI Traffic Audit Across South Delhi Roads

The Delhi government wants to study many roads in South Delhi using artificial intelligence.

The study will cover more than 420 kilometres across 270 roads.

Officials will look for traffic jams, dangerous places and areas where accidents may happen.

They will also examine buses, the metro and last-mile transport.

CCTV coverage and systems that can detect incidents automatically will be reviewed.

A consultant may be hired for about Rs 3.5 crore.

The consultant will suggest quick, low-cost improvements and prepare a detailed project report.

The study may also examine whether flyovers, underpasses or elevated roads are needed.

The goal is to make travel safer, faster and more reliable.
