Telangana High Court Orders Reopening of NBFC Branch After Probe
Imagine a bank branch had to close because someone was accused of stealing money and gold.
The High Court in Telangana stepped in.
They said the bank branch needs to open again so the police can keep investigating the missing money and gold.
Both the bank and the police have to work together.
The court wants the investigation to continue without stopping the bank from doing its regular business.
The police have already found some of the stolen gold.
Now, the bank branch must reopen under supervision to ensure everything is done properly.
Telangana High Court directed the reopening of Manappuram Finance branch in Chennur on September 10.
The order came in response to a petition by Manappuram Finance challenging the police's closure of the branch.
The case involves embezzlement of cash and gold, implicating 48 individuals.
The police stated the company closed the branch themselves, hindering recovery of gold.
The court emphasized cooperation between both parties during the investigation.
