PoK tensions rise as JAAC launches long march

PoK tensions rise as JAAC launches long march

There is a lot of tension in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) because a group called the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) is organizing a big protest march.

This march is happening because talks between JAAC and the Pakistani government did not go well.

The JAAC wants to peacefully protest, but the Pakistani authorities have sent more security forces to the area.

Over 40 people have died in the unrest since June.

The UKPNP, another group, is asking the Pakistani authorities to be careful and not use force against the protesters.

They also want the international community to help protect the people and find a peaceful solution.
