US Imposes Tariffs on India, Signaling Trade Tensions

US Imposes Tariffs on India, Signaling Trade Tensions

The U.S. is putting a 25% tax on some products coming from India.

This makes those Indian goods more expensive in the U.S. and could hurt businesses.

The US is also hinting at penalties for India's trade with Russia.

Although less than half of Indian exports are affected, those sectors may be in trouble.

Both countries are still talking, but the U.S. is pushing for better trade deals.

This could slow down India's economic growth.

Both countries still have a good relationship, but this trade issue is creating tension.
