Ukraine Strikes Siberian Refinery Amid Kazakh Peace Call

Ukraine launched drone attacks on a Siberian oil refinery and a military factory in Russia, causing disruptions and damage.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, publicly urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war during a summit in Siberia.

Tokayev expressed his concern over the loss of young lives and suggested freezing the conflict and returning to peace talks.

Russia reported casualties from Ukrainian strikes in occupied Ukraine, while Ukraine reported deaths from Russian attacks.

The war, now in its fourth year, has seen increased civilian casualties, and US-led talks to end the conflict have stalled.

Russia intends to seize the rest of eastern Ukraine by force.
