Ukraine's Defense Firms Develop Long-Range Weapons to Strike Russia
Ukraine is building its own weapons to fight against Russia.
One company, Fire Point, is making long-range drones that can hit targets deep inside Russia, such as oil refineries.
They are also producing a new missile called the Flamingo that can travel very long distances.
Ukraine is investing a lot of money into these weapons, hoping to become less reliant on other countries for help.
The company is quickly learning and adapting to make better weapons, with plans to produce many missiles soon.
Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point has developed long-range drones and is working on cruise missiles to strike Russian targets.
Fire Point's FP-1 drones can travel up to 1,600 kilometers and are responsible for 60% of deep strikes inside Russia.
The company is also producing the FP-5 cruise missile, dubbed the Flamingo, with a range of 3,000 kilometers.
Ukraine is investing heavily in domestic weapons production, with the government purchasing about $10 billion annually.
Fire Point aims to increase Flamingo missile production to seven per day by October.
