Half of Sugamya Bharat App Accessibility Complaints Unresolved
The Sugamya Bharat App is like a digital tool where people can report problems that make it hard for people with disabilities and elderly individuals to use public places and services.
Since its launch in 2021, over a thousand complaints have been submitted.
Unfortunately, about half of these complaints are still waiting to be fixed.
The government forwards these complaints to officials at the state and district levels to find a solution.
Some states, like Gujarat, have been very efficient in resolving complaints.
However, other states, such as Delhi, have not yet addressed any complaints.
The app was updated in 2024 to make it easier to use, with new features.
Sugamya Bharat App received 1,095 accessibility complaints as of August 14, 2025.
Approximately half (528) of the complaints remain unresolved.
The app, launched in 2021, allows reporting accessibility barriers.
Gujarat resolved 366 out of 375 complaints, the highest rate.
Delhi has 134 complaints, with zero resolved cases.
