India's First Space-Proven Jewellery Collection Launched
On 18th July 2026, Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram 1 rocket launched from Sriharikota, carrying a special payload called the Cosmic Bloom.
This payload was a lotus-shaped diamond artwork made by COSMOS Diamonds, consisting of 32 lab-grown diamonds set in gold.
The Cosmic Bloom is the first piece of fine jewellery to go to space.
This collaboration is historic because no Indian fine jewellery brand has worked with a private space company before, and no Indian spacetech company has carried a fashion payload of this nature before.
The Lotus Collection, which will be unveiled on 1st August 2026 in Bengaluru, is the first jewellery collection in India with a direct and documented connection to a space mission.
Each piece in the collection is designed and made in India, featuring lab-grown diamonds.
The collection allows people to wear a piece of this historical moment, not just as a commemorative object but as everyday jewellery.
Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram 1 rocket launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 18th July 2026, reaching Low Earth Orbit in 16 minutes.
The rocket carried the Cosmic Bloom, a lotus-shaped diamond artwork by COSMOS Diamonds, making it the first piece of fine jewellery to go to space.
The Cosmic Bloom consists of 32 lab-grown pear-cut diamonds totalling 16.9 carats, set in 18-karat gold.
The Lotus Collection, unveiled on 1st August 2026 in Bengaluru, is the first jewellery collection in India with a direct connection to a space mission.
COSMOS Diamonds and Skyroot Aerospace collaborated to create this unique collection, marking a historic moment in both the jewellery and spacetech industries.
