Thousands of Ahmedabad Animals Treated for Heat-Related Trauma

In Ahmedabad, many animals and birds are getting sick from the hot weather.

Between April and May, a local charity helped nearly 9,000 creatures, like pigeons and dogs, that were suffering from heatstroke and dehydration.

The animals get weak, can't move well, or even faint.

The charity gives them water and medicine to help them recover, then lets them go.

The charity says there is slightly less animals getting sick because there was rain in May and people have started putting out water for them.

They ask people to help by putting out water bowls to help animals and birds stay cool.
