India calls Pakistan's 'Youm-e-Istehsal' observance 'political absurdity' and 'malicious propaganda'

A few years ago, India's government, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, changed an important rule called Article 370 for the part of Kashmir it controls.

The rule had given that part of Kashmir, called Jammu and Kashmir, a special status in India's laws.

Pakistan did not like this change.

So every year on August 5, Pakistan marks a special 'day of exploitation' to complain about it.

This year, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister said India's decision was a serious problem for the whole world.

India's foreign ministry replied that Pakistan has no right to talk about it because it is India's own internal matter.

India's spokesperson also said Pakistan is the greatest source of terrorism in the world.

He added that Pakistan treats people unfairly in the part of Kashmir that Pakistan controls.

Each country blames the other, and they do not agree at all.
