Elephants Disrupt Traffic in Jharkhand
In Jharkhand, India, wild elephants have been moving around a lot, causing problems for trains and cars.
Eighteen local trains were cancelled for four days because elephants were crossing the tracks.
This made it hard for people who travel every day.
On a highway, a group of 18 elephants suddenly appeared, causing traffic to stop for about an hour.
The forest department helped move the elephants back to the forest safely.
Sadly, six people have been hurt by elephants in the past week.
The railway workers were also careful to stop long-distance trains to keep elephants safe, which is good for wildlife protection.
18 local trains cancelled from December 25 to 28 due to elephant crossings on the Manoharapur–Jharsuguda rail section.
Road traffic on National Highway-33 disrupted as 18 elephants appeared, causing a one-hour halt.
Forest department safely guided the elephants back to the forest using torches and sirens.
