Telangana BJP Accuses Congress of Taking Election Dispute to Streets

Opposition parties protested in New Delhi and asked the chief election official, Gyanesh Kumar, to resign.

Rahul Gandhi led the protests.

He and other Opposition lawmakers were detained on October 6 and 7.

The article does not say which year this happened.

Telangana BJP spokesperson N. V. Subash criticized the protests.

He said political disagreements should be raised in Parliament or through constitutional processes.

He compared the street protests to political upheaval in Bangladesh.

Subash also said the dispute was being turned into a campaign against the Election Commission, even though it was before the Supreme Court.
