Prakasam Assigns Officers to Monitor Accident Hotspots

Officials in Prakasam want to make dangerous roads safer.

They will assign one officer to each accident hotspot.

These officers will watch the locations regularly and help prevent crashes.

There are 54 road stretches that need close monitoring.

Authorities will teach bus drivers and students about road safety.

They will also use cameras, patrols and warning signs.

About 300 special mirrors have already been installed to help drivers see better.

Officials also discussed preventing drug abuse and protecting women.

They said drug-related problems and offences against women had declined significantly.
