Imran Khan's Sisters Protest Amid Health Concerns
Imran Khan, a former leader of Pakistan, is in jail.
His sisters, Uzma and Aleema, are worried about his health and have been protesting outside the jail because they are not allowed to visit him.
One sister, Uzma, was allowed to meet him briefly and said he is being treated badly mentally.
The government and the military have been saying mean things about Imran Khan, calling him mentally unstable.
His party, PTI, wants regular visits and better treatment for him, but the government says no because they think Imran Khan is causing problems for the country.
Imran Khan's sisters, Uzma and Aleema, protested outside Adiala Jail on December 9, 2025, due to concerns over his health and the denial of meeting requests.
Uzma Khan was allowed to meet Imran Khan on December 2 and reported that he is being subjected to 'mental torture' and kept in isolation.
The Pakistan Army has labeled Imran Khan as 'mentally unstable' and a 'national security threat,' accusing him of orchestrating attacks on the military.
PTI leaders and Imran Khan's family demand regular visits and independent medical assessments, but the government has imposed restrictions on meetings.
The military spokesperson, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, faced backlash for unprofessional conduct during a press briefing where he winked at a female journalist.
