Andhra Pradesh Ministers Laud Amaravati Farmers' Sacrifices at Bridge Inauguration

Andhra Pradesh Ministers Laud Amaravati Farmers' Sacrifices at Bridge Inauguration

Farmers in Amaravati gave their land years ago so a new capital city could be built for Andhra Pradesh.

Government leaders say they will never forget what the farmers did.

The leaders spoke at a ceremony for a new steel bridge in the city.

In 2015, farmers gave about 34,000 acres of land in less than two months.

They did this willingly, without any court fights.

The government plans to build a big international city with roads and pipes under the ground.

The new bridge is part of a road called the Seed Access Road.

One side of the bridge is already finished.

The leaders said the project is a big dream, not a small start.

They promised to speed up the work so the farmers' hopes come true.
