GX Group to Begin Domestic Photonics Manufacturing in December

GX Group to Begin Domestic Photonics Manufacturing in December

GX Group plans to make important internet and data-transmission parts in India starting in December.

These parts help change electrical signals into light signals and back again.

The company will initially invest Rs 500 crore in the facility.

The first phase has received government approval for Rs 100 crore.

The factory will make parts such as SFP transceivers, TOSA and ROSA.

These components are used in telecom networks and AI data centres.

The project could create about 200 specialised jobs.

GX Group says the facility will help India make more of these parts domestically and transmit data faster.
