Zee Entertainment Cuts Jobs Amid Restructuring
Zee Entertainment, a big TV company, is cutting jobs as part of a plan to make the company work better.
They started this plan last year after a deal with Sony didn't happen.
About 200 people are losing their jobs now, but most of them are not full-time employees.
The company says this won't affect how they work.
They are also dealing with less money from ads and some people canceling their subscriptions.
Even though they are making less money overall, their subscription money is going up a little.
Zee Entertainment is cutting jobs as part of an ongoing restructuring plan.
Around 200 people are affected, mostly consultants, as part of a 15% workforce reduction target.
The job cuts are a continuation of a plan started in April 2024 after the merger with Sony fell through.
The company's net profit fell 63% year-over-year to Rs 77 crore, with advertising revenue dropping 11%.
Subscription revenue grew 5% to Rs 1,023 crore, supported by both linear and digital businesses.
