Chhattisgarh Tourism Gains Industry Status
Chhattisgarh has given tourism the same importance as other big industries.
This means more people can invest money to build hotels, tour packages, and other fun things to do.
The government plans to build a big film city, make old temples and places more beautiful, and even create a special area near a famous waterfall.
They also want to help local artists and show off the state's rich culture.
All these changes will create new jobs and make Chhattisgarh a popular place for tourists to visit.
Tourism in Chhattisgarh has been granted industry status, attracting over ₹500 crore in private investment.
New initiatives include a home-stay policy, religious tourism programs, and a Tent City near Chitrakote Falls.
Major projects include a ₹350 crore Film City, a ₹146 crore Bhoramdeo Temple Corridor, and a ₹250 crore Chitrakote Redevelopment plan.
The number of tour operators has surged from 30 to over 300, and Tourism Board profits have risen fivefold.
Archaeological discoveries and cultural events, like the Bastar Pandum Festival, aim to showcase the state's heritage.
