India Unveils First Electric Flying Taxi Prototype

India has introduced its first electric flying taxi prototype called PT-01.

This aircraft, developed by a startup in Chennai, can take off and land vertically like a helicopter but flies efficiently like a plane.

It weighs 2.2 tonnes, has an 8-meter wingspan, and can travel about 110 kilometers on a single charge.

The company plans to use it first for air ambulances, which can quickly transport patients and medical equipment.

After successful tests and regulatory approvals, they aim to start commercial operations by 2028.

This innovation could make urban travel faster and more efficient.
