India-Canada Tensions Over Terrorism Allegations
The Indian ambassador to Canada, Dinesh K Patnaik, had a strong interview with a Canadian news channel.
He said Canada has not done enough to stop terrorists in their country for 40 years.
He mentioned a big bombing that happened long ago and said Canada has not solved it.
He also said Canada should provide evidence for its claims against India, just like India asks for evidence.
The ambassador said India is ready to take action if any of its officials are found guilty.
He hopes Canada will do more to stop terrorism.
The two countries are trying to improve their relationship after some big arguments.
Indian High Commissioner Dinesh K Patnaik accused Canada of failing to act against terrorism for 40 years.
Patnaik demanded evidence for Canadian allegations linking Indian agents to the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
He highlighted Canada's inaction on the 1985 Air India bombing and other extremist networks.
Patnaik criticized Canada for applying double standards in demanding evidence from India but not providing it for its own accusations.
