Young Bengaluru Siblings Summit Mount Kilimanjaro's Uhuru Peak

Two brothers from Bengaluru, India, climbed the very top of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa.

Sahas is 11 years old and his brother Samarth is only 8.

Their hike took seven days and they walked about 60 kilometres.

The hardest part was the last night, when it was freezing cold at -20°C and they climbed in the dark.

Samarth's toes got almost frozen, and Sahas had a bad headache and felt sick one day.

They practised for two months by hiking hills, walking up stairs and doing treadmill training.

Their parents also love tough challenges and have done big hikes and races before.

The brothers say the mountain taught them to be humble and to take things one step at a time.

They learned it is more important to respect your limits than to 'conquer' a mountain.
