Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Commissioner Calls for Innovative Waste Management

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Commissioner Calls for Innovative Waste Management

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar officials attended a training programme about managing city waste.

Commissioner Amol Yedge said the city should use new and effective ideas.

He asked officials to follow the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026.

These rules say waste should be separated into four groups.

The groups are wet waste, dry waste, domestic hazardous waste and sanitary waste.

People and other stakeholders need to separate waste where it is produced.

Businesses and other large waste producers must manage their own waste responsibly.

Officials will also study successful waste practices used in other Indian cities.
