Odhav Radiologist Arrested in Bavla Female Feticide Racket
A doctor in Odhav was arrested for being part of a scheme to abort baby girls illegally.
The scheme involved a radiologist and a former nurse.
The nurse performed the abortions, and the radiologist would tell people the gender of the baby through coded messages.
The police found that they had performed at least five abortions.
They are now investigating to see if more people were involved.
It is illegal to terminate a pregnancy if it is based on the gender of the fetus.
