FRS Implementation in Karnataka to Curb Fake Beneficiaries
The government is using a Face Recognition System (FRS) to make sure that only real people get food and help through the ICDS program.
This program gives food and support to pregnant women, new mothers, and young children.
The minister said this system helps to stop fake people from getting benefits.
Karnataka is doing well with this system, and most people are already registered.
Anganwadi workers, who help with the program, are getting new phones to make their work easier and are not required to work on elections.
To keep getting food, people need to connect their phone numbers with their Aadhaar.
Karnataka's Women and Child Development Minister discussed the implementation of the Face Recognition System (FRS).
FRS aims to curb fake beneficiaries in the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS).
Karnataka ranks second nationally, with 94.2% of beneficiaries registered via FRS.
Anganwadi workers have been exempted from election duties and provided with new mobile phones.
Beneficiaries must link their mobile numbers with Aadhaar for food supply under ICDS.
