Sacha Baron Cohen Revives Ali G in New Mockumentary
Sacha Baron Cohen is bringing back his character Ali G in a new movie.
Ali G has been away for about 20 years.
In the story, he discovers that his girlfriend Julie is eight months pregnant.
He worries about money and travels to America to become famous again.
Some people he meets become enemies who may put his family in danger.
The movie is filmed like a documentary, even though Ali G is a comedy character.
Many people appearing in it are real people rather than actors.
Cohen is also directing a feature film for the first time.
Amazon MGM Studios released the first trailer for “Ali G: Who Iz I?”, arriving in theaters October 23.
Sacha Baron Cohen returns as Ali G after a two-decade absence and directs the feature for the first time.
The mockumentary follows Ali G as he travels to America after learning his girlfriend Julie is eight months pregnant.
Ali G seeks to restore his former fame while facing enemies who threaten him and his unborn child.
The film was secretly shot for more than a year with real people, continuing Cohen’s approach from “Borat” and “Bruno.”
