Kolkata Land Grab Complaint Presented to Chief Minister
A woman named Kiran Gupta from Punjab says her family’s house in South Kolkata was taken by men sent by a former mayor and a city council member.
She says a big building was built on the land and she and her family have been trying to fix it for 10 to 15 years.
She went to the chief minister, Suvendu Adhikari, to ask for help.
The chief minister holds meetings called Janatar Durbar where people bring complaints.
Gupta hopes the chief minister will investigate and help her get her property back.
Kiran Gupta alleges her in‑law’s property in South Kolkata was illegally occupied and a multi‑storey building erected.
She names former Trinamool Congress MLA Debasish Kumar and a Kolkata Municipal Corporation council member as involved.
Gupta claims men sent by Kumar assaulted a relative before the occupation.
The dispute has lasted 10–15 years with no action taken by authorities.
Gupta presented the complaint to Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari during a Janatar Durbar session.
