Heavy Rain Raises Bhopal Lake, Flood Risk Expands

Heavy Rain Raises Bhopal Lake, Flood Risk Expands

Madhya Pradesh has received a lot of rain because the monsoon is very active.

The water in Bhopal’s Upper Lake has risen close to its highest safe level.

Officials say the gates of Bhadbhada Dam may need to be opened.

This could help manage the extra water.

Weather officials expect more heavy rain in several districts.

Satna, Panna, Chhatarpur and Rewa may face some flash-flood risk.

Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari could also receive very heavy rain, lightning and strong winds.

Other parts of the state may see heavy rain, thunderstorms or lightning during the next day.
