TCA Challenges HCA's Unauthorized T20 League in Court
The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) is in a legal fight with the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) over a T20 cricket league.
The TCA says the HCA is breaking rules by not getting permission from the BCCI and not talking to the TCA about the league.
The HCA wants to start the league on December 29, but the TCA says it's not allowed.
The court will decide on December 29.
The TCA also says a company sponsoring the league has a conflict of interest.
The TCA wants the league to be stopped and the HCA to follow the rules.
TCA approached the High Court to object to HCA's inter-district T20 league scheduled for December 29.
TCA argues the league violates BCCI's 2021 order requiring HCA to coordinate with TCA for district events.
HCA did not seek BCCI permission 45 days prior, making the event unauthorized according to TCA.
TCA demands HCA to consult them before selecting district teams and questions why 29 out of 33 districts are allowed.
Visaka Industries' sponsorship is contentious due to an ongoing financial arbitration rift and conflict of interest.
