India's iPhone Shipments Decline for First Time in Four Years
Apple's iPhone shipments in India have decreased for the first time in nearly four years.
This happened in the April-June quarter and was mainly due to problems getting enough parts for the iPhone 17 models.
Suppliers are also negotiating new prices with Apple.
Overall, fewer smartphones were shipped to stores, which also affected Apple's sales.
Experts still think Apple will grow, but not as fast as before because of these challenges.
Apple's iPhone shipments in India fell 3% year-on-year in the April-June quarter.
This is the first quarterly decline in nearly four years.
The drop is attributed to a supply crunch, particularly for iPhone 17 models.
Memory chip suppliers are renegotiating prices with Apple.
Overall smartphone shipments to retail channels fell 10%, pushing Apple out of the top five brands.
