Sea Containers Converted for Defence Firing Ranges
JCBL South, a company that makes special vehicles and containers, has turned sea containers into indoor shooting practice areas.
They joined three big containers to make a 150 ft long room where soldiers can practice shooting safely.
The walls, floors, and ceilings are all bullet-proof, and there are special traps to catch the bullets so they don't bounce around.
This makes the place very quiet inside and outside.
The containers can be used by the Army, Navy, and Air Force in many different places, like remote areas or ships.
The company has tested these containers a lot to make sure they work well.
They didn't say how much these containers cost to set up.
JCBL South converted three 40 ft sea containers into a 150 ft indoor firing range for short arm weapons training.
The facility has bullet-proof walls, ceilings, glasses, and floors with integrated bullet traps to prevent ricochets and fragmentation.
The containers are designed for safe, mobile, and cost-effective military training and can be deployed in various locations.
The facility enables realistic training with moving and stationary targets in different lighting conditions.
JCBL South is part of the JCBL Group, a leading player in the commercial vehicle industry with a revenue of ₹1,500 crore.
