Stellantis Takes Full Control of India Joint Venture, Expands Production

Stellantis has bought the remaining share of its Indian joint venture.

This means it now fully owns the company and its car factory in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.

The factory builds four Citroën models, including one electric car.

It also sends finished cars to eight other countries.

Stellantis plans to make more than 43,000 cars there each year by 2028.

In 2026, the factory is expected to make about 16,000 cars.

The company also expects the number of factory workers to more than double.

Stellantis says it sees more opportunities to grow its business in India.
