NHAI Sets Four Guinness World Records
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) made history by setting four Guinness World Records while building a big road called the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
They did this in two days, January 6 and January 11.
On the first day, they laid a very long stretch of road and used a lot of special road material called bituminous concrete.
On the second day, they broke their own records by using even more material and paving an even longer stretch of road.
This shows how fast and well India can build roads.
They used many trucks, machines, and workers to do this.
They also made sure it was safe for the workers and good for the environment.
NHAI set four Guinness World Records during the construction of the Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor.
On January 6, NHAI laid 9.63 km of three-lane bituminous concrete and placed 10,655 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete in 24 hours.
On January 11, NHAI laid 57,500 metric tonnes of bituminous concrete and paved 156 km of continuous asphalt.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Rajpath Infracon Private Limited, using extensive machinery and manpower.
Special safety measures and environmental compliance protocols were implemented during the high-speed construction.
